The Idaho Transportation Department is seeking a non-competitive exemption for the procurement of MathCad software, subject to the approval of the DOP Administrator. This exemption could enable the department to obtain the software with minimal or no competitive bidding, emphasizing efficiency and potentially reducing procurement timelines. The decision is made at the discretion of the DOP Administrator, and suppliers are encouraged to contribute relevant information that may impact this decision. Feedback is sought to support or challenge the justification that open competition might be impractical, unreasonable, or disadvantageous for the state. Suppliers interested in providing input must review the agency's exemption request, accessible via the Buyer Attachment section in the IPRO system. Information meant to influence the Administrator's decision must be submitted through the Supplier Attachments section in IPRO or emailed directly to the appropriate contact, ensuring that submissions are made before the designated closing date. No appeals regarding the Administrator’s decision will be entertained, underscoring the finality of the decision-making process. The procurement's estimated value ranges between $50,000 and $150,000, with responses due by February 8, 2025.
