The Eglin Small Business Office will be hosting a 2011 Small Business Requirements Symposium and Trade Show on 11-12 May 2011. The purpose of this event is twofold, 1-To provide a forum to discuss Eglin organization's missions, upcoming procurement opportunities, recent small business laws and policy changes, and other training topics and 2-To showcase small business capabilities in support of the Eglin AFB mission by providing networking and marketing opportunities. The two-day event begins with a Requirements Symposium and training event on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at the University of Florida Research and Engineering Education Facility, 1350 North Poquito Road, Shalimar, FL, from 8:30am - 3:00pm. There is no cost to attend and participate in this symposium and all businesses are encouraged to attend. Travel information is available at www.reef.ufl.edu/visitorsB.htm. You may register for this portion of the event at GovEvents.com. The Small Business Trade Show will follow on Thursday, May 12, 2011 at the Eglin Club on Eglin AFB, from 9:00am - 2:00pm. Small Businesses in engineering services, technical, research and development, communication equipment and services; computer and electronic equipment and services, medical equipment and services, safety and security, education and training, furniture and office design, logistics support, information technology services and related fields are invited to showcase their capabilities to meet the Eglin AFB mission. More information on Eglin's mission can be found at http://www.eglin.af.mil. Approximately forty-five (45) exhibition tables will be available. The registration fee is $75.00 and includes the support and services detailed in the attached Exhibitor Information Package. Since exhibition space is limited, only small businesses registered in the Central Contractor Registry (www.ccr.gov) will be permitted to exhibit. Application packages, INCLUDING PAYMENT, must be received in the Eglin Small Business Office (AAC/SB) by April 13, 2011. ACCESS TO ELECTRICITY FOR EXHIBITS MAY OR MAY NOT BE AVAILABLE. If you are interested in exhibiting, please complete the attached application package and mail it, along with payment by check or money order to AAC/SB, ATTN: 2011 Eglin Small Business Trade Show, 205 West D Avenue, Suite 449, Eglin AFB, FL 32542. PLEASE MAKE CHECK OR MONEY ORDER PAYABLE TO "SMALL BUSINESS CONFERENCE". Additional instructions are attached to this notice. Applications will be evaluated and selections will be made to ensure representation from various small business categories with capabilities that support the Eglin mission. You will be notified of your selection or non-selection by April 20, 2011. If you are not selected to exhibit, your check will be returned. Participant selection decisions are at the sole discretion of the Eglin Small Business Office and are final. REGISTRATION FEE FOR SELECTED FIRMS WILL NOT BE REFUNDED AFTER APRIL 27, 2011.
