Multichannel Quartz Crystal Microbalance System

The National Research Council Canada (NRC) is soliciting offers for the procurement of one benchtop multichannel electrochemical quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) system to be delivered to NRC Mississauga. The system is intended for investigating interfacial processes such as surface adsorption, corrosion, and electrodeposition. Technical requirements specify a system with at least four independent temperature-controlled channels (30-150°C) supporting ramp and soak profiles, compatibility with liquid and gas flows, and the capability for electrochemical QCM measurements. The package must include four flow cell QCM holders, four EQCM cells, at least twenty QCM sensors, a multichannel sample injection system, and software for data control and display with open-source export capabilities. The contract will be awarded to the compliant offer with the lowest evaluated price, based on a total aggregated cost for the system and associated training. Proposals must be submitted electronically by August 31, 2026, at 2:00 PM EDT, divided into three separate emails covering the technical offer, financial offer, and required declaration forms. Eligibility is limited to Canadian suppliers and suppliers of applicable trading partners. The successful contractor must ensure all electrical equipment is certified according to the Canadian Electrical Code and adhere to environmentally preferable packaging specifications. Delivery is expected within six months of the contract award under DAP Mississauga Incoterms 2020.
