This acquisition is for a Firm Fixed-Price commercial contract to provide EMC maintenance in support of Defense Media Activity located at Fort George Meade, MD. The purpose of this support is to maintain the functionality of the EMC Storage Area Network (SAN) hardware and software that was purchased for the BRAC move to Fort Meade. The EMC SAN supports all DMA HQ network storage and virtual server hosting requirements. The virtual servers operate critical applications such as email, Windows Active Directory, Host Base Security System (HBSS) sensors, VOIP phone system, HomeTown News databases, SharePoint services, Blackberry services, and the Program Budget Tracking System (PBTS). This procurement is set-aside to Service Disabled Veteran-Owned businesses. The applicable NAICS is 541519 with a size standard of $25.0 million. The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed-Price commercial contract with a 12-month Base Period, with three 1-year option periods. The solicitation and all attachments will be electronically issued and may be accessed for viewing and downloading on the Government Electronic Posting System (EPS) site at www.fbo.gov. Once the solicitation is posted, it is the responsibility of all interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments that may occur during the solicitation process. The solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 30 Mar 2012 with a closing date on or about 30 Apr 2012. The Government will not provide paper copies of the solicitation package nor planholder list. Fax, telephone, written or email requests for the solicitation package and planholder will not be honored. All questions concerning this RFP may be submitted by sending an email to the contracting point of contact not later than 10 calendar days prior to the RFP closing date. Questions received less than 10 calendar days prior to the closing date of the RFP may not receive a response. NOTE: The solicitation issuance date is an estimate, not an actual, and the actual can be before or after the stated date. The response date cited above does not obligate the Government to award a contract nor does it obligate the Government to pay for any proposal preparation costs. The Government reserves the right to cancel this procurement/ solicitation either before or after the RFP closing date, with no obligation to the offeror by the Government. All prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for contract award.
