The City of Los Angeles’s Emergency Management Department (EMD), through the Mayor’s Office of Public Safety, is seeking a qualified contractor to overhaul and update the existing Prep4Faith website, a resource designed to help faith communities prepare for disasters. The updated website will be bilingual in English and Spanish, providing comprehensive resources to assist faith-based organizations in developing disaster preparedness plans and enhancing their resilience. The contract, valued between $50,000 and $150,000, emphasizes community and business engagement expertise within the City of Los Angeles. Full Description

The City of Los Angeles (“City”) is committed to increasing preparedness and resilience in its faith communities and their ability to recover after a disaster. For this reason, the City’s Emergency Management Department (“EMD”) created the aith website (prep4faith.com) to help faith communities develop disaster preparedness plans to help increase their collective resiliency. The website is home to emergency preparedness guides, plan templates, and other resources for Houses of Worship (“HOW”); however, the website has not been maintained or updated to reflect modern times and many of the material stored on the site are outdated or may no longer be applicable to its content. The EMD, by and through the Mayor’s Office of Public Safety, is seeking a contractor possessing experience in community- and business- based engagement within the City, to redevelop the aith website that may be used by HOW in the event of a disaster. This project includes transitioning the current website into a featured webpage housed within the EMD’s website at emergency.lacity.gov. As such, the desired Uniform Resource Locator (URL) for aith would become emergency.lacity.gov/prep4faith. This project will present a complete bilingual (English and Spanish) Prep4Faith website that will assist representatives from HOW in the City in preparing their faith communities for any disaster with the help of plan templates, guides, and other training resources.
