This contract requires the reconstruction and reinstatement of access on two forest service roads, the Peers and Ruby 5200 FSRs, following severe damage from a November 2021 storm. On the Ruby 5200 FSR, permanent access must be restored beyond 0.2km with the construction of three wood box culverts—two spanning 5 meters and one 3 meters—over classified fish streams, combined with riprap armoring of creek banks using class 250 kg material, excavation and end hauling of approximately 1,600 cubic meters of material to a spoil site 500 meters from the work zone, and full road recontouring around each structure. On the Peers FSR, a new alignment must be built from 3+672m to 4+868m to bypass a major failure at 3.9km, involving both temporary and permanent road reactivations, installation of a ford crossing, new road construction, and the permanent deactivation of the damaged section. Additionally, repair or replacement of GRS rock fall retention berms is required. All work must comply with detailed specifications and quantities outlined in Schedule A and Schedule C, along with supporting engineering plans and maps. Deliverables are to be managed according to quarterly business targets and executed concurrently through an approved progress schedule. All inquiries must be submitted in writing to the designated email by June 11, 2026, with responses published by June 15, 2026. Bids must be submitted by June 22, 2026, and cash or certified payment methods disqualify e-bidding; the lowest bid is not guaranteed selection. Contract award outcomes will be posted on BC Bid.
