NOTICE OF AWARD AND NOT A SOLICITATION THIS SYNOPSIS IS POSTED TO ANNOUNCE AWARD OF THE CONTRACT LISTED BELOW. THIS IS ALSO TO NOTIFY FUTURE PROSPECTIVE CONTRACTORS TO LET US KNOW IF THEY ARE QUALIFIED AND INTERESTED TO PARTICIPATE IN SIMILAR FUTURE SOLICITATIONS. ANNOUNCEMENT: THE WALTER REED NATIONAL MILITARY MEDICAL CENTER (WRNMMC) ACQUISITION MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT, BETHESDA, MD ON BEHALF OF THE THE MAIN OPERATING ROOM FOR PATIENT SUPPORT SERVICES OF THE HOSPITAL IS ISSUING THIS NOTICE OF SOLE SOURCE PROCURNMENT AWARD UNDER URGENT AND COMPELLING CIRCUMSTANCES TO MEET THE HOSPITAL'S NEEDS FOR SERVICES SPECIFIED BY THE DEPARTMENTS AND DOCTORS BASED ON SPECIFIC SURGICAL EQUIPMENT AND CLINICAL REQUIREMENTS UNDER 13RC20018. THE CONTRACT IS AWARDED TO KARL STORZ ENDOSCOPY FOR ON SITE SERICES IN THE AMOUNT OF $86,400.00 BASED ON BEST INTEREST OF THE GOVERNMENT USING BEST VALUE AS PIMARY AND PRICE AS SECONDARY FACTORS OF AWARD. THE CONTRACT ACTION IS FOR SERVICS FOR WHICH THE GOVERNMENT DETERMINED TO SOLICIT AND NEGOTIATE WITH ONLY ONE SOURCE. UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF FAR 6.301 ONLY ONE RESPONSIBLE SOURCE AND NO OTHER SUPPLIES OR SERVICES WILL SATISFY AGENCY REQUIREMENTS. THEREFORE, THIS IS A NOTICE OF AWARD AND NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETIVE PRICE QUOTE. A DETERMINATION BY THE GOVERNMENT NOT TO SEEK COMPETETIVE QUOTE ON THIS PROCUREMENT HAS BEEN MADE AND ANY RESPONSE TO THIS NOICE IS SOLELY WITHIN THE DISCRETION OF THE GOVERNMENT. THE AWARD IS MADE UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF THE SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION PROCEDURES (SAP). END OF ANNOUNCEMENT.
