The City of Manassas Park is seeking expressions of interest from professional engineering consulting firms that wish to be considered to provide services for federal, state, and locally funded projects. Services will include aspects of project administration from planning and design, through project and construction management, to acceptance and close-out, mostly for transportation projects that must follow federal, state, and local requirements. Examples of services include, but are not limited to: completing planning-related studies, preparing design plans, preparing bid specifications, engaging in public outreach, reviewing traffic plans, developing cost estimates, acquiring easements and Right-of Way as the City’s agent, and many other services associated with the post-award phase in the general area of construction management and inspections.
The City of Manassas Park anticipates awarding multiple contracts to more than one, but not to exceed five (5) qualified prime consultant firms as a result of this Request for Proposal. The contracts will be negotiated and awarded in accordance with the procedure set forth in the current Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) Manual for the Procurement & Management of Professional Services at the time of advertisement. Once contracts are in place, services will be obtained through Task Order Requests that will result in subsequent issuance of Task Orders based upon the contract rates. Please refer to the Request for Proposals package for additional information.
