This is a notice of intention to issue a solicitation to provide Engineering Services for the AN/ALQ-161 System. The Performance-Based Work Statement (PWS) provides for engineering services to resolve Obsolete Part and Vanishing Vendor issues with Band 7 Dual Detector Hybrid Limiter and Band 8 Dual Detector Hybrid Limiter high sensitivity system of the AN/ALQ-161 System. This effort will solve part availability problems. The contractor will consider an increase in the reliability and maintainability of the system during this effort. Prototypes will be built to validate performance of the modified designs and manufacturing processes. Period of Performance shall be 18 months after receipt of order (ARO).
