ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR THE PATTERSON CREEK BRIDGE DECK REPLACEMENT

The intention of this request to retain an Engineering Consultant to complete the the planned rehabilitation of the Patterson Creek Bridge. The bridge is located on County Road 7 (Lakeshore Road) and spans Bonnie Doon Creek in the Township of Plympton-Wyoming. The County of Lambton has determined that a full deck replacement is the preferred rehabilitative treatment for the Patterson Creek Bridge. Additionally, the County wishes to convert the existing bridge abutments to semi-integral connections and provide continuous support over the piers as part of the project.The rehabilitation plans shall also focus on correcting all structure deficiencies to limit the rate of deterioration and prolong the useful life of the structure. The Successful Consultant shall be required to complete the preliminary and detailed design of the project including: topographic site survey, compiling all drawings and documents, performing investigations which the Consultant deems necessary, securing all necessary approvals and permits from external regulatory agencies, developing and administering the tender of the project, including the recommendation of a preferable Contractor, and the administration/project management of the contract on behalf of the County of Lambton including site inspection activities.
