The intent of this request is to retain an Engineering Consultant to complete the detailed engineering design, including securing the necessary approvals, contract administration, project management, inspection, testing, etc. to complete the planned replacement of the following structures:Munro Drain Culvert (County Structure 08-5-226) located on County Road 8 (Inwood Road) in the Township of Brooke-Alvinston approximately 0.7 km north of Rokeby Line; andBourne Drain Culvert (County Structure 08-5-239) located on County Road 8 (Inwood Road) in the Township of Brooke-Alvinston approximately 2.0 km south of County Road 4 (Petrolia Line);The structure replacement plans shall focus on selecting an appropriate replacement structure for each culvert location given the prevailing site conditions (i.e. hydrology, soil conditions, road geometrics, watercourse alignment and elevation, utilities, etc.) that will maximize the County's investment over the life of the new structures. The replacement structures shall be designed to provide a minimum service life of 75 years.The Successful Consultant shall be required to complete the preliminary and detailed design of the project including: topographic site survey, compiling all drawings and documents, performing investigations which the Consultant deems necessary, securing all necessary approvals from external regulatory agencies, developing and administering the tender of the project, including the recommendation of a preferable Contractor, and the administration/project management of the contract on behalf of the County of Lambton including site inspection activities.
