The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic in Charleston, SC, plans to award a sole source contract modification to Total Immersion Software, Inc. to continue providing engineering and technical services related to the RealWorld Simulation Toolkit platform. This platform, developed in collaboration with DARPA, uses proprietary source codes to deliver specialized technical support aimed at enhancing warfighter capabilities in mission planning, rehearsal, training, and after-action review. The services include generating realistic 3-D immersive representations of air, land, and sea mission spaces derived from ISR data, along with detailed visualizations of building interiors and exteriors, supporting tactical environments and operational decision-making. This modification will increase the ceiling and extend the performance period of an existing Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity, Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee contract under the NAICS Code 541511, with a size standard of $25 million. The sole source award to Total Immersion Software is justified by their unique qualifications and proprietary technology necessary to support SPAWAR missions until a subsequent follow-on contract can be awarded. This action is not a solicitation for proposals, and all inquiries were to be directed to the designated government contact by a specified deadline in August 2010.
