Enterprise Golf Course Sand Bunkers

The Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission is soliciting bids for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of sand bunkers, fairways, green complexes, and drainage at the Enterprise Golf Course in Mitchellville, Maryland. The scope of work includes regrading bunkers, installing bunker liners and sand material, and installing new turfgrass to improve course playability and aesthetics. Contractors are responsible for private utility and sprinkler locating, site staking, and providing dumpsters for trash removal. Technical requirements specify that sand and peat ratios must meet or exceed USGA Standards for Putting Green Construction, and all work must be documented on As-Built drawings meeting DPIE requirements for grading. Once awarded, the contractor must provide performance and payment bonds for 100 percent of the contract amount and maintain comprehensive insurance naming the Commission as an additional insured. Performance is scheduled for Monday through Friday, excluding designated holidays, starting upon receipt of a Notice to Proceed. The contractor must adhere to strict site safety protocols, including the use of specific orange plastic and chain link fencing to protect areas of disturbance. Payment will be processed via Automated Clearing House within 30 calendar days of invoice acceptance. All materials must be stored according to manufacturer guidelines and specific temperature and weatherproof requirements to ensure quality.
