The Capital Regional District (CRD) is seeking detailed proposals for the coordination, management, and operation of the "Beyond the Curb" community event and residential recyclables drop-off depot services. This initiative focuses on collecting and transporting residential recyclable materials that are not part of the existing curbside blue box program. The services will support both the CRD and stewardship agencies responsible for managing these materials, ensuring efficient handling of recyclables beyond conventional collection methods. The contract is intended to initially cover a two-year period with estimated annual quantities, with the possibility of extending for up to three additional one-year terms through mutual agreement. The CRD reserves the right to award the contract wholly or partially and may also award follow-on work without reopening competition. While the contract aims to select a preferred proponent for negotiation, an agreement is not guaranteed from this Request for Proposal. Interested proponents must submit their proposals by February 20, 2026, and communicate with the designated Contracting Authority for any inquiries related to the process.
