Euclid Avenue Bridge Project

The Euclid Avenue Bridge Project, managed by the City of Chino Public Works Department, involves the construction of a new multi-span viaduct structure approximately 2,400 to 2,500 feet long. The project aims to raise Euclid Avenue above the Prado Basin 50-year inundation pool elevation to prevent flooding and improve safety for motorists and pedestrians. The scope includes widening the roadway to four lanes to match existing capacity and adding bicycle and pedestrian lanes in compliance with ADA standards. The project site covers approximately 24.2 acres, including the paved Euclid Avenue roadway and the Chino Creek Bridge 54-1248. Environmental compliance is a primary focus, with a Draft Environmental Impact Report evaluating air quality, biological resources, noise, and cultural impacts. Key requirements include mitigating effects on endangered bird habitats, adhering to South Coast Air Quality Management District standards, and ensuring full-time on-site archaeological and tribal monitoring during ground-disturbing activities. Construction is anticipated to begin in March 2027, with a development duration of 18 to 24 months and an estimated total project value of 150 million dollars. Work hours are restricted to weekdays between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. per local municipal codes.
