Evergreen Mobile Home Park Drinking Water Consolidation Project.

The City of Atwater is implementing the Evergreen Mobile Home Park Drinking Water Consolidation Project to provide safe, potable drinking water to residents currently affected by 1,2,3-Trichloropropane contamination. The project scope includes the construction and operation of a 2,300 linear foot water main along Shaffer Road utilizing 12-inch piping and 282 linear feet of 24-inch steel casing. Additionally, the project requires the installation of a new pump station equipped with two 2hp pumps and a 200-gallon hydropneumatic tank, as well as a 2-inch service connection to the mobile home park featuring a meter and backflow preventor. The work is expected to take approximately three months, with a projected production rate of 100 feet of pipeline per day. Performance will occur within Assessor's Parcel Number 146-210-003 and the Shaffer Road right-of-way, with staging areas located on the Evergreen Mobile Home Park property and public rights-of-way. The City will obtain the necessary encroachment permits for work occurring within the BNSF right-of-way. This project is exempt from CEQA review under Public Resources Code Section 21080.48 per Senate Bill 131, as it benefits a small, disadvantaged community water system.
