Expression of interest - Utility and SCAC Building Paving Project

The U.S. Embassy Pretoria, under the Department of State, is seeking qualified companies to perform specialized paving services at the Utility and SCAC Buildings located at 1 Sandton Drive, Sandhurst, Johannesburg, South Africa. The scope requires the complete removal of existing pavement and installation of new 80mm interlocking grey pavers compliant with SABS standards across approximately 550 square meters, including areas near the wash bay, compressor, and motor pool accessway. Work must include subgrade stabilization, proper drainage with a west-to-east slope, rebuilding of manhole covers elevated 40mm above the reference level, and construction of a compliant access ramp. All work is to be completed during standard hours of 7:00 to 16:00, Monday through Friday, excluding U.S. and South African holidays, with a one-year guarantee on workmanship and soil compaction. Compliance with OSHA, ANSI Z359.1, and local South African regulations is mandatory, including strict adherence to fall protection, hazardous material handling, confined space protocols, and electrical safety standards. Contractors must submit a company profile and credentials demonstrating proficiency and financial capacity, and all parties must be registered in SAM.gov with a valid Unique Entity ID.
