Full Description

The South Dakota Unified Judicial System (UJS) seeks qualified nonprofit entities, locatedwithin the State of South Dakota, to provide indigent adults with extended residential alternativecare programming designed to reduce their risk of recidivism. The UJS seeks to award a grant(or grants) totaling $333,334 to such a care provider (or providers) for room and board costs forindigent South Dakota residents who qualify for the programming, with a maximum award ofthirty dollars per day, per program participant. Any grant award shall be distributed in quarterlyinstallments upon submission of a detailed invoice. As a condition of receiving grant funds, thecare provider (or providers) shall prepare a report containing information on the results andoutcomes of their respective program participants, including: completion rates, terminationrates, graduation rates, and recidivism data for the particular term of service. Those reportsmust be prepared by the care provider (or providers) and submitted to the UJS no later thanNovember 11, 2026. The successful care provider (or providers) will review all requirements ofthe RFP, and submit a proposal (or proposals) by the indicated deadline.
