Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, operated by Fermi Forward Discovery Group under a DOE contract, is soliciting subcontract proposals for the fabrication and delivery of the ORBUMP Magnet Coil Assembly as part of the Proton Improvement Plan II (PIP-II) project. This project is a critical upgrade to Fermilab’s accelerator complex designed to produce the most intense high-energy neutrino beam worldwide, supporting the international Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment at LBNF and a broad range of physics research for decades. The solicitation, titled "Fabrication of PIP-II ORBUMP MAGNET COIL ASSEMBLY," was posted on June 1, 2026, with a response deadline of June 18, 2026. The work falls under NAICS code 332710, related to metal coil and spring manufacturing, and is based in Batavia, Illinois. Interested subcontractors should direct inquiries to the primary contact, Richard Konan, and all proposals must adhere to the defined specifications to support Fermilab’s mission objectives without any set-aside restrictions.
