The Maryland Department of Information Technology (DoIT) is soliciting proposals to provide data telecommunications services connecting state facilities through a central data aggregation facility. The objective is to secure reliable, high-availability data connections for multiple state locations, with awards made separately for each site based on the best proposal submitted. The contractor selected for each site must deliver data telecommunications services from designated State aggregation points to specified termination points, with strict technical requirements, a mandated 99.7% network uptime, and continuous 24/7 maintenance support. Contractors must deploy key personnel within thirty days of contract initiation and properly identify invoices to ‘networkMaryland™’ including required supporting details. The contract will have a four-year term, commencing when the purchase order is executed, and services are to be delivered at various locations as specified in the contract documents. Only Master Contractors registered under the State’s Data Telecommunications Services Master Contract are eligible to bid. While there are no required Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) participation goals, all bidders must follow submission protocols, including providing a signed price sheet and a conflict of interest affidavit.
