AI Contract Overview
The contract requires the procurement of one unit of air filter media, part number 6870846, manufactured by Draeger Medical Inc with CAGE code 6L622, identified by NSN 4130-01-540-2941, for delivery to the USS FT LAUDERDALE (LPD 28) at FPO AE 09595 under FOB destination terms. Delivery must be completed within 20 days of the award, with an original required delivery date of May 29, 2026, and shipments must be sent via the fastest traceable means—parcel post is strictly prohibited. Packaging must comply with commercial standards as specified in the procurement document, with each unit sealed in a protective container and packed in suitable exterior shipping containers to ensure safe, low-cost transport. Palletization must adhere to DLA Packaging Requirements for Procurement (RP001), and all marking must follow Medical Marking Standard No. 1, which replaces MIL-STD-129 for medical acquisitions; however, MIL-STD-129 still applies to general packaging and labeling. The item must be free of intentional mercury or mercury-containing compounds, except for functional uses in batteries, fluorescent lights, sensors, controls, weapon systems, or chemical reagents specified by NAVSEA; any portable fluorescent lamps or instruments containing mercury must be shockproof and feature a second containment boundary per NAVSEA 5100-003D. Technical and quality requirements are governed by the DLA Master List of Technical and Quality Requirements, which supersedes ASTM D3951 and other standards. Hazardous materials must be labeled per the Hazard Communication Standard (29 CFR 1910.1200), and the contractor must submit accompanying safety data sheets. Payment processing must occur through Wide Area Workflow (WAWF), requiring both an invoice and receiving report unless an exception applies. The solicitation, issued under NAICS code 333415, is a small business set-aside with required representations in the System for Award Management, including size and socioeconomic status, and compliance with clauses addressing equal opportunity, trafficking in persons, employment eligibility, sustainable products, and prohibitions on internal confidentiality agreements. All quotations must be submitted via the DLA Internet Bid Board System, and the contract includes deviations for several FAR clauses effective February 2026, including those governing contract type,
