Scope: UC Law SF is an accredited public institution, recognized for its distinguished faculty, rich history, and commitment to fostering excellence in legal education. The institution operates under its own set of financial, operational, and regulatory frameworks, including adherence to the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) principles and practices.
The College’s financial activities span multiple auxiliary units, including investment management and contracted services with the University of California Office of the President (UCOP). These activities are reflected in its financial statements, which are prepared using the fund accounting model. UC Law SF’s main campus consists of several buildings including student housing, faculty offices, academic classrooms and the law library. Additionally, the College manages auxiliary units including the UC Law SF Foundation, student housing, and a parking garage.
