The Maryland Insurance Administration (MIA), Financial Regulation (FR) division is requesting submission of proposals from Contractors to provide financial examination assistance in four Functional Areas for a five (5) year term.The services to be performed by the selected Contractors encompass four (4) Functional Areas. The Contractors shall provide staff as requested by the MIA FR Division in each Functional Area listed below and shall ensure that the staff meet at least the minimum qualifications as listed in our RFP.1. Staff Examiner Assistance2. Senior Examiner Assistance3. Examiner-In-Charge Assistance4. Senior Manager AssistanceThe MIA intends to award up to six (6) contracts to assist the examination staff in completing its Financial Examinations of Maryland domiciled insurers. All exams will be performed under the direct supervision of a Maryland Insurance Administration (the “MIA”) Assistant Chief Examiner. The purposes of these examinations are to ensure the continued financial solvency of domestic insurers authorized to do business in Maryland by detecting solvency issues in advance and ensuring compliance with NAIC requirements and Maryland law, to maintain the MIA’s NAIC accreditation standing, and to fulfil the MIA’s examination requirements under Maryland statute.Please review the RFP in its entirety and all included attachments for detailed Contract award information
