Fire Alarm Inspections

Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools is soliciting proposals under solicitation MNPS000067 for districtwide fire alarm inspection, testing, maintenance, and certification services. The primary objective is to ensure all school facilities remain compliant with NFPA 72 standards, manufacturer recommendations, and applicable local, state, and federal life safety regulations. The selected contractor will be responsible for performing comprehensive inspections, providing typed reports within 48 hours of testing completion, and adhering to strict deficiency notification timelines, including notifying the Electronics Manager within two hours for red tags and twelve hours for yellow tags. The contract is evaluated based on a best-value approach, with scoring weighted across cost (35 points), proposed approach (25 points), qualifications and experience (25 points), and past performance (15 points). Proposals must include a completed cost spreadsheet, which identifies a total evaluated contract amount of 2,500,000 dollars with firm pricing for the first year and potential escalation for years two through five. Awardees must provide a Certificate of Insurance within fifteen working days of acceptance and certify compliance with Tennessee law regarding the non-boycott of Israel. All services must be performed in accordance with the 2010 Americans with Disabilities Act.
