Fire Alarm Technician Services

The Government of Yukon's Facilities Management Branch is seeking to establish a Standing Offer Arrangement (SOA) with qualified contractors to provide fire alarm technician services. This non-binding, price-driven arrangement covers a wide range of requirements, including troubleshooting, emergency response, repairs, replacement, and new installations for government facilities. The scope of work encompasses both general non-emergency call-outs, which require a response within two business days, and emergency call-outs that demand immediate attention. Services will be provided across various service regions in the Yukon, including Central, Western, Northern, and Eastern regions, as well as fly-in-only locations, covering numerous communities and traditional First Nation locations. The estimated value of work for the duration of the arrangement is approximately $300,000.00. Contractors must provide all necessary labor, materials, tools, equipment, and expertise, ensuring all work complies with Canadian fire alarm standards, specifically CAN/ULC-S524, CAN/ULC-S536, and CAN/ULC-S537. Personnel must be OEM-qualified and competent in their respective fields, with pricing submitted for various classifications including certified fire alarm technicians, electricians, and apprentices. Evaluation of responses will be primarily based on price, which is subject to adjustments for travel factors and Bid Value Reductions (BVR) related to Yukon First Nation business ownership and location. Selected contractors must maintain commercial general liability insurance of at least $2,000,000.00 per occurrence and adhere to strict health and safety compliance under the Workers’ Safety and Compensation Act. Submissions must be completed through the Electronic Bidding System by the specified deadline.
