AI Contract Overview
The U.S. Coast Guard Special Missions Training Center plans to award a sole-source purchase order to InVeris Training Solutions, Inc. for extended warranty service, depot-level maintenance, and repair of the InVeris 100 mil Firearms Training Simulator and associated simulated weapon systems. This decision is based on the proprietary nature of the equipment, as only InVeris possesses the technical expertise, proprietary parts, and access to technical data required to maintain and repair the systems, ensuring continued operational readiness. Third-party vendors are unable to perform these services due to exclusive control over critical components and specialized knowledge. The requirement is justified under FAR 12.102(a) due to the absence of alternative sources capable of meeting the specific technical demands of the simulator. This notice serves as an opportunity for any organization to submit a capability statement demonstrating its ability to fulfill the requirement, though the government retains full discretion to proceed without competition based on the responses received. All submissions must be sent via email to John Caicedo at john.h.caicedo2@uscg.mil no later than July 2, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. EST. Full Description
The US Coast Guard Special Missions Training Center intends to award a sole-source purchase order using the procedures at FAR 12.102(a), as it has been deemed that only one source is available to meet this specific requirement due to the proprietary nature of the InVeris 100 mil Firearms Training Simulator and its associated weapon systems. Only InVeris possesses the technical expertise, proprietary components, and immediate access to simulator parts necessary to ensure the continued operational readiness of the SMTC’s simulator systems. This purchase order is intended to be awarded to InVeris Training Solutions, INC for extended warranty service, depot-level maintenance, and repair for the InVeris 100 mil Firearms Training Simulator and associated simulated weapon systems.
