Under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP), Fish & Wildlife Services, Region 7 Contracting and General Services intends to issue a sole source, firm-fixed price order to: COMPANY: Lotek Wireless, Inc DUNS: 251053377 FOR : $129,109.70 ON: 07/23/2019 NAICS: 334290 Other Communications Equipment Mfg AUTHORITY: 8.405-6(a)(2) Limited Sources Justification and Approval 13.106(b) Soliciting from a single source Determinations not to compete this proposed procurement were made because: Lotek Radio Transmitters are a unique transmitter because they are digitally coded enabling complex code schemes to achieve project objectives. The requesting office, Kenai Fish and Wildlife Conservation Office, currently has an investment in receiving equipment manufactured by Lotek Wireless, Inc. The requested radio transmitters are compatible with this equipment and to switch manufacturers is not prudent and would inflate project costs to the federal government to a cost prohibitive amount. To remain compatible with the equipment our office currently using and others throughout Alaska, we have determined that it is in the best interest of the federal government to continue using transmitters and receiving equipment, specific to this project, from Lotek Wireless, Inc.
