NOTICE OF PROPOSED PROCUREMENT FILE NUMBER: W8485-23-SC09 This requirement is for the Department of National Defence (DND). Tendering Procedure: All interested suppliers may submit a bid. Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No Nature of Requirement: This requirement is for the services of: Multiple Resources in the following Categories: (a) Senior Engineer (b) Junior Engineer or Technician UNSPSC: 81000000 Engineering and Research and Technology Based services and 81100000 Professional engineering services – Aerospace related, military Number of Contracts: This bid solicitation is intended to result in the award of one (1) contract for three (3) years, plus two (2) irrevocable option year allowing Canada to extend the term of the Contract. Location of Work to be Performed: Region(s): National Capital Region Specific Location(s): Contractor’s facilities Security Requirement: Security Requirements Check List: Common PS SRCL #41 Supplier Security Clearance required: FSC – Secret Resource Security Clearance required: Secret Security Level required (Document Safeguarding): Secret Estimated Level of Effort: The estimated Level of Effort for each resource category will be: Senior Engineer: 800 hours per year Junior Engineer or Technician: 180 hours per year Estimated time frame of contract – 10 June 2024 to 9 June 2027 plus two (2) irrevocable option years. These Flight Sciences Technical Investigation & Engineering Services (FS TIES) services include but are not limited to examining aircraft performance, specifications, and capabilities to assess possible improvements or proposed changes to aircraft of the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) or other aircraft operated by DND. Contractors must also maintain a secure electronic (computer-based) Management Information System (MIS) to record and store all items (reports, drawings, deliverables, data, etc.) produced by the contractor, procured on behalf of Canada, or provided by Canada. Directorate of Technical Airworthiness and Engineering Support (DTAES) requires the services of multiple Engineering and Policy resources. Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
