The contractor must provide a fully mission-capable aircraft capable of sustaining 150 knots true airspeed at or below 12,000 feet, equipped with dual-frequency radios for simultaneous communication with the RPA and Air Traffic Control, and must operate with beacon and strobe lights during all operations. The aircraft must be fully insured, with the contractor assuming sole liability for any damage to the aircraft or personnel, absent government negligence. The chase aircraft must accompany the RPA from takeoff at KRIV through traffic pattern operations and transit to restricted airspaces R-2515 or R-2503, remain on standby after drop-off, and return to escort the RPA back for recovery, rejoining the aircraft prior to handover and maintaining visual contact until the RPA completes a full-stop landing at KRIV. Visual responsibility is transferred to a ground observer only once the RPA enters the KRIV traffic pattern.
