The purpose of Flood Hazard Identification and Mapping Program (FHIMP) is to increase Canada’s preparedness to flooding events. The program is providing Federal, Provinces, Territories, Indigenous governments and municipalities with flood hazard data, maps and science to support communities in effectively managing the impacts of floods. Undertaking a Value for Money (VfM) assessment of the Flood Hazard Identification and Mapping Program (FHIMP) is essential to ensure that public investments are strategic, efficient, and impactful.
