The U.S. Air Force, through the Air Force Sustainment Center’s 421st Supply Chain Management Squadron at Tinker Air Force Base, is conducting market research to identify qualified sources for the new manufacture of the turbine frame assembly designated by part number 1602M64G07 and NSN 2840-01-337-2542PR, intended for F110 platform applications. This effort, issued under Notice ID FD2030-27-00081 and classified under NAICS code 336412 with a size standard of 1,500 employees, is not a solicitation and does not obligate funding or result in a contract award. The government seeks information from potential vendors—including small businesses, small disadvantaged businesses, 8(a) firms, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, HUBZone businesses, and women-owned small businesses—to evaluate competition, assess source capabilities, and determine if a small business set-aside is feasible, potentially breaking the requirement down by airframe. Respondents must demonstrate ability to handle full-cycle production: manufacturing component parts, inspection, testing, preservation, packaging, shipping, supply chain management, logistics planning, forecasting, and mitigating diminishing manufacturing sources and material shortages, while also bearing nonrecurring engineering costs necessary for qualification. All responses must be submitted via the “Add Me to Interested Vendors” button by the deadline of August 16, 2026, at 4:59 AM Central Standard Time. No formal proposals or pricing is requested at this stage, and inquiries regarding a solicitation will not be addressed. The government emphasizes that this is a market research initiative under FAR Part 10 only, aimed at refining acquisition strategy, sourcing options, and future contract structure. The point of contact for all communications is the 421SCMS Requirements team at 421scms.requirements.workflow@us.af.mil, and performance, if a future contract is awarded, will be at Tinker AFB, Oklahoma. The equipment falls under Federal Stock Class 2840 and is managed under AMC/AMSC code 1C.
