Full Description

Under the authority of FAR 13.501, the US Army Research, Development and Engineering Command - Natick Contracting Division (USARDEC-NCD), Natick, MA intends to conduct negotiations and award a contract on a sole source basis to CRYE Associates, 63 Fl ushing Ave., Brooklyn, NY 11205-1005. This action is for the acquisition of 8 Future Force Warrior (FFW) Prototype Soldier Ensembles for use as marketing and demonstration tools. CRYE Associates is the FFW Advanced Technology Demonstration (ATD) subcontr actor to Eagle Enterprise (Prime contractor for the FFW ATD program), and is responsible for development and fabrication of the FFW Soldier Borne System. The FFW Soldier Borne System (comprised of an integrated headgear system and protective body-borne en semble) is an evolutionary design, currently in the first of three design cycles. Consequently, the design is in a state of flux, and Crye Associates, as the FFW subcontractor charged with fabricating the design as it evolves, is uniquely suited to fabric ate prototype designs. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely fo r the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
