The project involves the reconstruction of two parking lots on Stewart Street, adjacent to Lyons and Church Street, within the City of Sonora. The scope of work includes comprehensive site demolition of existing structures, walls, and parking lot surfaces, followed by grading and roadway rehabilitation using Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) and Class 2 Aggregate Base (AB). New concrete elements will be constructed, including ADA parking stalls, ADA compliant curb ramps, sidewalks, stairs, curbs, and gutters, as well as barrier curbs. Landscaping improvements involve the placement of river rock and leaving certain areas as exposed earth. The project also requires the furnishing and installation of new handrails, pedestrian railings, crosswalks, signage, pavement markings (thermoplastic and paint), and striping. Additionally, the project includes the installation of solar lights and other necessary appurtenances to complete the improvements as detailed in the plans.
