NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: THE EASTERN FEDERAL LANDS HIGHWAY DIVISION, OF THE FEDERAL HIGHWAY ADMINISTRATION (FHWA), INTENDS TO PROCURE FROM THE AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF STATE HIGHWAY AND TRANSPORTATION OFFICIALS (AASHTO), THE AASHTOWARE BRIDGE MANAGEMENT (BRM) SOFTWARE RENEWAL LICENSES AND SERVICE UNITS FOR MAINTENANCE, SUPPORT, AND TRAINING.
AASHTOWARE BRIDGE MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE PACKAGE HAS ALL THE ELEMENTS THAT HAVE BEEN IDENTIFIED AS A NEED BY END USERS INCLUDING MAINTENANCE, TRAINING, AND SUPPORT OF THE SOFTWARE. THE DEVELOPER USES THE END USERS’ FEEDBACK TO IMPROVE AND FURTHER ENHANCE THE PRODUCT TO MEET THE NEEDS AND REQUIREMENTS OF BRIDGE OWNERS IN ITS DEVELOPMENT. THE SOFTWARE IS CURRENTLY THE ONLY SOFTWARE COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE THAT OFFERS THE REQUIRED LONG-RANGE FORECAST FOR NPS BRIDGE NEEDS AND OUR REGIONAL BRIDGE PRIORITY LISTS.
