FY26-DDOT-IPMA-Metropolitan Branch Trail - Blair Rd to Piney Branch Rd NW

The District of Columbia Department of Transportation is forecasting a construction engineering design project for a multi-use trail connecting Blair Road and Aspen Street NW to the intersection of Piney Branch Road and Eastern Avenue NW. This initiative aims to link two existing sections of the Metropolitan Branch Trail in accordance with the western alignment outlined in the Metropolitan Branch Trail Concept Plan. The comprehensive scope of work encompasses all phases of design and planning, including project management, agency coordination, public involvement, and right of way services. Technical requirements include survey and mapping, geotechnical services, utility mapping, structural engineering, and storm drainage and management. Additionally, the contract covers traffic engineering, lighting, landscaping, signing, pavement markings, and the development of construction cost estimates and specifications.
