General Legal Counsel Services for Schuylerville Victory Board of Water Management

The Village of Schuylerville, on behalf of the Schuylerville–Victory Board of Water Management, is soliciting proposals for General Legal Counsel to provide ongoing legal guidance to the Board, its Chair, officers, and authorized representatives. The selected attorney or law firm must be authorized to practice in New York and possess substantial experience in municipal law, intermunicipal agreements, public water systems, governmental contracting, and regulatory compliance. The scope of work includes advising on public infrastructure, procurement, and state and federal water regulations, as well as attending regular Board meetings when requested. The contract is intended for an initial one-year term with options for annual renewal. The Board prefers a predictable fixed-cost arrangement via a fixed monthly retainer for ordinary and recurring services, though proposers must also specify compensation methods for any excluded extraordinary services.
