GRADE PRIMARY SURFACE CLEARANCE ZONE (PHASE 2 OF QC5222), F-200043

This project, managed by Navfac Far East for the Department of the Navy, involves grading the Runway Lateral Clear Zone Primary Surface in accordance with UFC 3-260-01 standards for Navy and Marine Corps Class B Runways. A critical requirement of the grading process is that any newly created dirt areas must be planted with grass to prevent foreign object debris issues. Additionally, the contractor is responsible for removing all existing bollards within the Primary Surface and Clear Zones of the runway and Taxiway Papa. These will be replaced with flexible or frangible vertical reflective markers not exceeding 40 inches in height. The scope includes replacing approximately eight sets of four bollards inboard and outboard of the runway, one set of five bollards at the Runway 13 overrun, and roughly ten sets of four bollards outboard of Taxiway Papa.
