The Grand County Community Priorities Fund (CPF) is a Field of Interest Fund established by the Grand County Board of County Commissioners and the Grand Foundation following the approval of the 1A ballot measure in November 2024 and Colorado HB 22-1117. The fund utilizes lodging tax revenue to support three primary community priorities: childcare, housing for the local workforce, and the enhancement of visitor experiences. For 2025, the estimated revenue is approximately 500,000 dollars, with 20 percent of the total lodging tax revenue allocated to the fund. To ensure long-term sustainability, at least 20 percent of the 2025 revenue will be retained to build the fund balance for future years. Administration of the fund is managed by the CPF Committee, which consists of Grand Foundation staff and board members, a Grand County Government representative, and three community members appointed from each Commissioner District. For the 2025 cycle, grants will open on August 1, 2025, with a submission deadline of September 5, 2025, and award decisions finalized by September 23, 2025. Applications must be submitted through the Grand Foundation's online granting platform. Funding is restricted to project-based initiatives with measurable outcomes and cannot be used for operational or sustaining costs. Recipients are required to provide final reports, including photographic evidence of impact, and must not duplicate funding from other county programs.
