The contract pertains to a project titled "Grand Haven North Pier Wave Attenuator," which involves marine construction activities aimed at enhancing the structural integrity and functionality of the north pier at Grand Haven. The scope includes demolishing approximately 224 to 324 feet of the existing section of the north pier and timber cribbing structure, followed by replacing it with a stone revetment designed to serve as a wave attenuator. An optional feature includes installing handrails along the walkway. Additionally, an H-pile supported concrete walkway will be constructed 16 feet north of the existing pier, connecting the remaining portions of the pier while ensuring it does not encroach into the channel.
