The US Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, intends to procure this requirement on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or service will satisfy agency requirements. The US Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, intends to enter into a firm, fixed-price contract with Walter Payton Power Equipment LLC. This contract is for inspection by a qualified Service Department of a Manitowoc 36 Foot Ringer (350 Ton), and model 3900 (100 Ton) crane; and also Grove model RT 875 (75 Ton) and model AT 420 (20 Ton) cranes, work will be performed on derrick barges on the Mississippi River. Walter Payton Power Equipment LLC is the local dealer for Manitowoc cranes. The NAICS code for this procurement is 811310 which is Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance which has a small business size standard of $7.0 Million.
