Hackett Lane Stream Crossing Reconstruction (Notification of Lake or Streambed Alteration, No. EPIMS-SHA-59713-R1)

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) Region 1 has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-SHA-59713-R1 with Samuel Petty for the Hackett Lane Stream Crossing Reconstruction project. Located in Shasta County at 21220 Hackett Lane on an unnamed intermittent tributary to Stillwater Creek, the project involves the removal and reconstruction of a failing concrete stream crossing used for residential access. The existing structure and plugged conveyance pipes will be replaced with a similar structure within a similar footprint, featuring four 29 by 42 inch diameter squash-type culverts to increase conveyance capacity, along with inlet and outlet rock slope protection and streambank armoring. The project is categorically exempt under Class 2, CCR Title 14, section 15302, as it replaces an existing structure without requiring the removal of riparian trees or shrubs. All construction must be performed when the stream is seasonally dry to minimize environmental impact, and the agreement is executed pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code.
