This contract is a non-personal services requirement for hazardous tree removal and fuels management along the Slater Fire and Wild Rivers Road system within the Rogue River Siskiyou National Forest in Oregon, with some activities extending into Siskiyou County, California. The primary objective is to reduce fire hazards, enhance forest health, and optimize site productivity by selectively removing undesirable or hazardous trees while preserving high-quality dominant and codominant trees. Performance is scheduled from August 1, 2026, through October 1, 2028, with a possible extension of up to six months at the government’s discretion. The work covers approximately 92 miles of roads with additional optional work for 49 more miles of Forest Service roads, including felling, stacking, pruning, and slash treatment. All activities must comply with the Field Guide for Tree Risk Assessments and Hazard Tree Mitigation, December 2025, and adhere to strict safety, environmental, and operational protocols, including OSHA standards, USDA Forest Service Equipment Standard 5100-1, and requirements for bear-proof containers, flammable fuel storage, fire tools labeling, and sediment control. A comprehensive Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan must be submitted within ten days of contract award, and work must meet a minimum 95% performance threshold to be deemed acceptable.
