Head Start programs prepare America's most vulnerable young children to succeed in school and in life beyond school. To achieve this, Head Start programs deliver services to children and families in core areas of early learning, health, and family well-being while engaging parents as partners every step of the way. Head Start encompasses Head Start preschool programs, which primarily serve children 3 to 4 years old, and Early Head Start programs for infants, toddlers, and pregnant women. Head Start services are delivered throughout the City of Phoenix which tailor the federal program to the local needs of families in our service area. The City of Phoenix Head Start Birth to Five Program services 2,209 children in total in three service areas. The Head Start Birth to Five Program has an ongoing need to provide information and professional development opportunities for parents, staff and community partners through professional speakers and trainers. Training events will be provided virtually or in-person.
