This solicitation is not ready to be issued as of this date. The Embassy of the United States in Belize will launch the solicitation on the SAM.gov website when it is available.


The requirement is for providing Health and Life Insurance to Locally Employed Staff of the U.S. Embassy in Belmopan, Belize.  The estimated number of employees is one hundred and twenty-nine (129), of which twenty-four (24) are single only employees, twenty-two (22) are self plus one, and eighty-three (83) will require a family plan. The anticipated performance period is for a base year, with four one-year option periods, if exercised by the Government.  All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered.  


The Government may award the contract based on the initial offer without discussion. The resultant contract will be a firm fixed-price contract.  


The Government is planning a pre-proposal conference and the date for this conference will be in the solicitation.  


Notwithstanding FAR 4.203-1(b)(5)(ii), the Contracting Officer has determined that it is in the best interest of the U.S. Government that offerors be registered in the SAM (System for Award Management) database at https://www.sam.gov at the time of submitting a proposal.


This opportunity is subject to FAR part 52.229-12 - Tax on Certain Foreign Procurements (FEB 2021).
