The Correctional Service Canada has a requirement for excavation services, snow removal and clearance services on an as and when required basis. Objectives: The Contractor must provide excavation services, snow removal and clearance services on an as and when required basis for one or more of the following CSC locations : Site 1 - Dorchester Penitentiary, Dorchester, NB Site 2 - Springhill Institution, Springhill, NS Site 3 - Nova Institution for Women, Truro, NS The tasks the Contractor must perform include, but are not limited to, hauling of snow to designated snow dumps located on the institutional reserve, pushing of snow banks and snow dumps to allow storage space for future storms. The tasks also include exposing and subsequent backfilling underground services for emergency or maintenance repairs, or both, to infrastructure as well as other grounds work. Deliverables: The Contractor must provide all labour, including licensed heavy equipment operators, tools, supplies and equipment, including heavy equipment, to perform the work. The heavy equipment the Contractor must provide includes, but is not limited to, an excavator, a bulldozer, a loader, a backhoe, a tandem truck, a compactor and if requested, other specialized equipment. The Contractor is responsible for transporting all labour, tools, supplies and equipment, including heavy equipment, to and from the work site. The Contractor must be located within 50km from either sites and be able to deliver services in English.
