Hendre Ladus, Ystradgynlais, Powys, SA9 1SE, Design, Supply and Installation of ASHP Heating System and Associated Works

Powys County Council is seeking a single contractor for the design, supply, and installation of an Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) heating system and associated mechanical and electrical works at Hendre Ladus, Ystradgynlais, Powys. The project is governed by the JCT Design and Build 2024 Edition with a Schedule of Amendments and has an estimated total value of 220,000 GBP excluding VAT. Due to grant funding requirements, all works must be completed by February 26, 2027, with an estimated performance period running from November 20, 2026, to February 26, 2027. Eligible bidders must hold several mandatory certifications, including MCS registration for ASHP installation, NICEIC approval or equivalent for non-domestic electrical works, Constructionline Silver registration, and SSIP accreditation. Additionally, contractors must be accredited as a Real Living Wage Employer or commit to achieving this within six months of the award. The contractor is also required to maintain public liability insurance of at least 5,000,000 GBP. The award will be based on a weighted combination of cost and quality.
