The contract requests the procurement of two unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) with specific advanced capabilities, designed for surveillance and reconnaissance missions. The first UAV, termed Drone A, is a small-sized drone featuring a flight time of 55 minutes, a maximum noise level under 37 dBA at 25 meters, and an operational temperature range from -20 to 45 degrees Celsius. It boasts a 28-mile flight range with GPS-denied flight capability, obstacle avoidance, and supports ATAK integration. It includes a 3-axis gimbal stabilizer and dual Sony 4K cameras delivering 3840x2160 resolution with 1080p streaming, designed to operate in winds up to 30 knots. Drone A comes with a watertight and dustproof storage case, three batteries, a field-swappable gimbal, and a repair kit with tools. The second UAV, referred to as Drone B, is a nano-sized platform weighing only 153 grams, with a flight endurance of 36 minutes. It offers 360-degree obstacle avoidance, GPS-denied control, and operates quietly and with low visibility from 30 feet away. It is equipped with a gimbal-stabilized 48MP camera capable of 8000x6000 pixel still imagery, 4K MPEG-4 video, and infrared imaging at 320p/640p resolution. This ultra-compact drone includes a watertight, dustproof transit case for secure transportation. Both UAVs are required under a total small business set-aside, with the Department of Defense as the contracting agency, based out of Fort Drum, NY.
