Full Description

The Defense Energy Support Center (DESC), Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), intends to solicit and negotiate with the two incumbent sources Global Gases & Chemicals FZCO, Dubai, ARE and National Welders Supply Co, DBA Airgas National Welders, Charlotte, NC under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(A)), One Responsible or a Limited Number of Responsible Offerors. The Government intends to issue up to two (2) Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contracts for production of an estimated 180 High Pressure Cylinder Assembly (HPCAs), to be manufactured and delivered on an FOB Origin basis, in accordance with (IAW) Purchase Description HPCA Frame-01, dated 01 Nov 07 and Purchase Description HPCA Manifold-01, dated 30 Oct 07. The HPCAs must be filled by the DESC HPCA contractors with Type 1, Grade A, 99.995% High Purity Helium IAW MIL-PRF-27407C, dated 29 Nov 06. Estimated quantity for product is 54,000 - 12 cubic meters (M3) for the two year period. The contract ordering period will be from 01 May 2010 through 30 Apr 2012. The anticipated award date will be 12 Mar 2010. The solicitation will be issued on or about 22 Feb 2010 and will be posted to the FedBizOpps web page (http://www.fbo.gov/). A hard copy of the solicitation may be requested; however, only written, e-mailed or faxed requests for solicitation received directly from the requestor are acceptable.
