AI Contract Overview
NASA Kennedy Space Center is seeking a firm-fixed-price task order for concrete spalling repair work at Space Launch Complex 39B to support the Space Launch System and the Artemis III mission. The project requires the removal of approximately 20 high pressure gas battery vessels to provide necessary access for repairs, followed by their reinstallation, testing, commissioning, and full documentation. These batteries are critical for providing additional gas storage capacity essential to NASA mission operations. The contract is estimated at 2.5 million dollars with a performance period of six months. Due to urgent mission timelines, a justification for an exception to fair opportunity has been made to award the work to Advon Construction under the MACC II IDIQ, citing the contractor's existing site familiarity and mobilization as vital to preventing unacceptable delays. The work will be performed in Florida under NAICS code 236210.
