HIGH SPEED VIDEO CAMERA KIT

This is not a Request for Quote (RFQ) - This is a notice of intent the Government's intent to issue a sole source award contract to Vision Research for high speed video camera kit to continue the ability to capture high speed imagery, maintain current workflow architecture, and utilize the manufacturer's warranty support. This is the only Air Force Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) tested and approved high speed camera approved for use in 96 Test Fighter Wing aircraft and this particular camera kit is very compact in design, has been EMI tested and approved for use in Air Force aircraft. The Department of Defense (DoD), Defense Media Activity (DMA) intends to award a sole source contract under the statutory authority of FAR FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(B) - Only one source is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized'. DMA intends to issue a sole source contract to Vision Research, 100 Dey Road, Wayne, NJ 07470 in an effort entitled Air Force Public Affairs Agency (AFPAA). The anticipated delivery period will be 30 days after contract award. Anticipated award for a sole source contract to Vision Research for high speed video camera kit. The Government anticipates a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract. This notice of intent is NOT a request for proposals or quotations. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. The Government reserves the right to cancel the Sole Source Award. The primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 333316 - Photographic and Photocopying Equipment Manufacturing, and the small business size standard is 1000 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all responses received within seven (7) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
